Life Without My iPad

As I sit typing this on my husband’s iPad I realise that the timing of my own ones demise was well timed for shortly after it expired our painter arrived and so for the last days we have been clearing rooms so he can work. See I wouldn’t have been on it anyway.

In the last eight days apart from clearing and sorting I have been away for a long weekend, stopping to catch it with an old friend on the way. I have seen clients, I have read my Kindle and I have worked on a piece of art work.

So have I missed my iPad?

Yes every now now and again I have. It’s not the same using one that is set up for someone else, nor not to have one to hand when you think of something you need to do or look up.

Mine is now at the repair shop and is very sick. So sick they have to open it up and operate. I hope it survives as it would be nice to have it back but I know it has lost all of my work, photos of art in progress, and so on things that are now gone forever. Oh well 🙂

Out of Action :(

Most of you won’t have realised but I’ve been away travelling in Cuba and Mexico for the last four weeks. I left posts scheduled so you wouldn’t miss me but now I’m home it seems my iPad had died. It won’t open, update or restore so is very sick if not terminally ill 😦

I am writing this on the family laptop but its not as easy as being able to pick up the iPad and write what is on my mind, or check what is going on sadly.

So….until I either sort out what is wrong with the iPad or decide what to do about a replacement if anything I may not be around as much. If you comment and I don’t see, if there aren’t as many or as frequent posts as you are used to at least you now know why.

I think I may enjoy extending my time away from the iPad. I didn’t have it with me on holiday and survived. Maybe I will even prefer it and who knows I might even get some other things done instead 🙂

Web of Life Connections – White Buffalo Calf Woman

White Buffalo Calf Woman is a sacred woman of supernatural origin central to the beliefs of the Lakota of North America. There is a beautiful legend attached to her which can easily be found online so I won’t go into it here rather I will share the message that she has given us today.

‘When times are hard and you feel like giving in reach out, for there is always something greater, stronger, more powerful than yourself in your human form that will be of assistance. Sometimes this help is found outside of yourself, sometimes it is within you but it is always there waiting for you’.

Web of Life Connections – Beauty

As I sat with the connection or teacher that is Beauty I had one phrase pop into my head ‘Beauty is in the eye of the beholder’. Having had this thought I stopped and looked around at all the beauty that surrounds me, beauty that I take for granted until that is I am reminded to stop and look.

The message I was given from Beauty though was this:

‘Stop what you are doing and have a good look, not at your surroundings but at yourself. See what an amazing creature you really are. Open your awareness to the healing powers of your body and marvel at its abilities. Take time to sit and connet with your soul. These are what is really beautiful not the outer wrapping that this gift comes in’.
